Robin Hopkins began her career as a stand up comic performing
in clubs and colleges in and around New York City. She performed regularly
at such well-known clubs as Caroline's Comedy Club, Stand-up New York,
Gotham Comedy Club and the Comic Strip Live, just to name a few. During
that time, she co-wrote and performed several sketch comedy shows.
After life with the clowns, Robin got serious and completed an intensive
two year acting program at the William Esper Studio under Maggie Flannigan.
Since that time, Robin has completed many plays in New York City, including
her favorites: “Pizza Man” at the American Theatre for Actors, “Beautiful
Bodies” at the Sanford Meisner Theatre, and “Line,” the longest running
off-broadway play, at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre Company. Most
recently, Robin descended upon the world of the one-woman show. Robin
wrote and performed “In Search of Tulla Berman” which debuted
at the Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco and ran again at the Fringe
Festival in Winnipeg, Canada, in New York at the Pelican Theatre and
at Ars Nova.
